Inductions :
It is mandatory that all Scaffolders/Scaffold Labours hold a current White Card ( Construction Induction Training, as specified by Worksafe) in addition all scaffolders/scaffold labours are required to complete an onsite induction at the beginning of their employed, followed up by refresher courses run by Statewide Scaffolds.
Safe Work Method Statements :
Prior to beginning any new project a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is required to be completed. The primary purpose of a SWMS is to assit supervisors, workers and any other persons at the workplace to understand the requirements that have been established to carry out high risk construction work in a safe and healthy manner.
The SWMS :
- sets out work activites in logical sequences
- identifies hazards
- describes control measures
